Who should take this class?
The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
This class is for new and renewal certifications.
How much does it cost?
$90
This program combines online learning with hands-on skills practice and skills testing at a convenient location.
Add an additional person, at the same appointment, for only $75 more. Contact us to schedule.
How does a blended class work?
- Call us to sign up for the course and schedule the hands on skills session.
- Your online learning course will be emailed to you.
- Complete the AHA online learning course. This is a self paced course that you can complete at your convenience, day or night. Once you have completed the online course, you are ready to take the hands on skill session.
- Meet with one of our certified AHA instructors to complete the hands-on skills session.
- After successful completion of the skills check, we will send you your ecard for BLS Provider. This card is good for 2 years.
What will i learn
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
- Important early use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
Will my employer or school recognize this card?
Yes. All BLS course options teach the same AHA science-based skills and result in the same AHA BLS Course Completion Card.
